A truly unspoilt rural landscape, less than a mile from the pretty village of Wood Norton, is the peaceful setting for these fine holiday cottages. Lovingly created from handsome barns on the owners’ farm, and boasting spacious, stylish interiors, they stand at right angles to each other around a courtyard. Each cottage boasts its own patio for sitting out and shared use of a tennis court and a play area. Wonderful days out are an easy drive away – along the glorious North Norfolk Coast, visitors can discover picturesque fishing villages with excellent pubs and restaurants (many serving the locally caught seafood), seal watching boat trips and sailing, or enjoy the gentle walking along the Peddars Way and coastal path, taking in bird reserves and miles of dune backed, sandy beaches on the way. Cromer offers traditional seaside amusements as does Sheringham, from where a steam train runs regularly to the charming Georgian town of Holt. Thursford’s steam museum, 500 acres of nature reserve, lakes and gardens at Pensthorpe, and the Norfolk Wildlife Centre are all within a short drive. Boats can be hired to explore the beautiful reed lined waterways of the Broads, and the medieval city of Norwich is easily accessible. Fakenham, with an excellent weekly market, is 7 miles away. Two bedrooms. Beautifully furnished and equipped to a very high standard, this single storey cottage has vaulted ceilings and beams. Spacious open plan sitting/dining room with electric 'coal effect' fire and kitchen area. Double bedroom with 5' bed and ensuite shower room/WC. Twin bedded room. Shower room/WC.

Reviews
Acorn Cottages are set in a very beautiful, peaceful and rural location. It was ideal as a quiet and relaxing base from which to explore the local area. The courtyard set-up meant you could exchange small talk with your neighbours (if you wanted!) and we were lucky enough to have a couple with a young family staying next door which pleased our two young boys no end. The safe, secure nature of the cottages meant we could have some quiet and relaxing time while the children played on the playground and visited the cows. We all enjoyed a game of tennis on the court. Holly Berry was a lovely little cottage. We have definitely not ruled out a return visit!

Fantastic value for money, the cottage exceeded our expectations both in terms of location and standard of the decor, it was lovely, warm and welcoming and we would highly recommend the cottage.

Taking a break in one of our holiday cottages in Norfolk is the ideal way to explore this atmospheric and historic county. The coastline is the major attraction here, with miles of sandy beaches stretching from historic King’s Lynn all the way round to Great Yarmouth, famous for its Golden Mile and multitude of seaside attractions and entertainments. Cromer (noted for its crabs and pier), Sheringham and Hunstanton are also firm family favourites. If you prefer something quieter during your stay in one of our holiday cottages in Norfolk, try the North Norfolk Coast, a designated Area of Natural Beauty and a haven for walkers and birdwatchers. Venture inland and you’ll discover a gently rolling landscape dotted with flint cottages and ancient churches.
The county town of Norwich is one of England’s best-preserved cities and is a joy to wander around. Don’t miss a visit to the magnificent cathedral towering above the surrounding medieval streets. East of the city lie the Norfolk Broads, a vast expanse of interconnected lakes and waterways which has long been a firm favourite with sailors. Hire a boat for a day to see them at their best. Less
well-known are the mysterious Brecks, a wilderness area of heaths and forests and one of the least-populated parts of the country.
